Behind Playground’s main entertainment space is our private speakeasy — normally home to intimate gatherings, private events, comedy shows, secret events, and our 21+ bar experience. This October, that room becomes something completely different.
Welcome to The Phantom Tavern. Created in partnership with OC Fright Nights, this immersive theatrical experience is inspired by Halloween night, 1926, and Huntington Beach’s Oil Boomtown past.
The story begins inside a bar that has been frozen in time for 100 years. Take your seat, order something from the bar or kitchen, and discover what happened that night.
